The American Marketing Association has instituted the V Kumar Mentorship Award to honor his contributions in mentoring future generations of scholars. Dr. Philip Kotler is S.C. Johnson Distinguished Professor of International Marketing (emeritus) at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
