Summary: This book analyzes the product-market strategy, organizational structure and strategic decisions of Japanese corporations, focusing particularly on the strategic aspects of Japanese management. The aim of this book is to look into the wider aspect of strategy. The practices of relatively large and successful Japanese corporations have been analyzed; these practices are different from those of unsuccessful Japanese companies, and have therefore identified the success factors or causal relations of business strategies. At the same time, the differences between the strategies of relatively successful companies are also analyzed to find the relationships among the sub-systems of management. These Japanese company practices are both similar to and different from those of American and European companies.
