Library Borrowing Guide
Borrowing Conditions
- Students: up to 5 books at a time.
- Faculty: up to 10 books at a time.
Loan period:
- Standard: 30 days
- High-demand items: 10 days
By borrowing items, you agree to return them on time, not lend them to others or take them abroad, and to cover any loss or damage costs.
How to Find a Book
Use the online catalogue to search for books by title, author, or keyword. Check availability and location directly from your account.
Automatic Renewal
Books are automatically renewed unless:
- Another user has placed a request.
- The maximum loan period has been reached.
Maximum loan periods:
- 10-day items: up to 30 days
- 30-day items: up to 90 days
You will be notified by email if a renewal is not possible.
My Requests & Borrowed Items
Log into your library account to view all your current loans and pending requests.
Returning Materials
Return borrowed items at the library desk on the 5th floor. If you're unable to return them on time, please contact us in advance.
Reminder Emails & Blocked Accounts
Reminder emails will be sent as follows:
- Day 1: first reminder
- Day 4: second reminder
- Day 11: third reminder – your account is blocked
- Day 18: final reminder – bill to follow
Your account will remain blocked until the item is returned at the library desk.
Lost or Damaged Items
If you've lost or damaged a book, report it immediately using the form provided and contact the library. An invoice will be issued. Once paid, your account will be cleared.
